HISTORY
Organized as R.L. Elgin & Associates in 1962, the firm has been successfully accomplishing projects since that time. Historically, surveying and mapping have been our specialties. In the past decade we have continued to expand our civil engineering services. Today we provide professional surveying mapping and engineering services. Our engineering department is also well-known and respected for producing quality civil engineering projects.  We are educated, organized, licensed, managed and equipped for the purpose of providing professional engineering and surveying services.   

EQUIPMENT
Elgin Surveying and Engineering has equipment which applies the latest technological advances to surveying and engineering practice. Included in our field equipment are digital electronic total stations, data collectors and a full range of GPS equipment. Once in the office, calculations and drafting is performed on computers. Our work products are created on large format inkjet color plotters. We utilize AutoCAD, MicroStation and additional surveying/ engineering design software, and prepare CAD drawings on magnetic media for easy distribution to other professionals. We often deliver digital design/drawings by email over the Internet.
